OPEN HEARTS. OPEN MINDS. OPEN DOORS.
We are disciples of Jesus Christ in an accepting community of faith compassionately serving others in God’s name.
We are a welcoming intergenerational congregation, that seeks to provide the guidance and experiences needed to support your spiritual growth no matter your age and where you may be in your journey.
Our building is one one level with fully accessible restrooms. The sanctuary has all moveable seats which can easily accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. We have a Williams Assistive Hearing system. Ask an usher for help in locating the devices, and if you need a chair moved to make room for a wheelchair. Large print bulletins and manuscripts of the sermon are available on advance notice to info@millplainumc.org. Please use that address if there are other things we can do to help welcome people of all abilities.
As a Reconciling Ministry, we welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital and social status, and so much more.

OUR BELIEFS
- We believe that in Jesus Christ, God became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus taught us to love God and one another, and told of the good news that a relationship with God can bring.
- We believe that we are called by Jesus Christ to spread that message of hope to all people through acts of worship, prayer, study and caring.
- We believe that all persons are of sacred worth and are welcome into the presence of the God of Jesus Christ.
- We believe that the message of God is one of love, hope and salvation. Jesus Christ is the bridge by which we meet God, and the Holy Spirit is our companion on our journey.
CALLED TO SERVE.

Read a Welcome message from Pastor Sue.
For some years I was looking for a church in which I felt welcomed and understood and could continue to learn the word of God. After a few months I understood that this is the perfect place for me and my family. At MPUMC I feel included and part of a spiritual family. I thank God for having given me the opportunity to belong to this community.

OUR FOUNDATION
As a United Methodist Church, we trace our history back to the Methodist movement started in 1700s England by brothers John and Charles Wesely.
The foundation of the United Methodist Church is based on both what we believe and how we live. As Methodists, we challenge ourselves to be a witness to Jesus Christ in the world, and to follow his teachings through acts of compassion, justice, worship and devotion.
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as “practical divinity” has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.
The United Methodist Church is now a global network with more than 12 million members seeking to open hearts, open minds and open doors through active engagement with our world.
