Build a Bigger Table Book Study
Join Us in a Church-Wide Book Study This fall, join the congregation in a book study of A Bigger Table: Building Messy, Authentic, and Hopeful Spiritual Community. I Don’t know his story
Recently, Doug and I were at the intersection of 205 South and Mill Plain Blvd. As if often the case, a man stood by the side of the road holding a sign. A Candle For Tom
I lit a candle for Tom yesterday. It was the Memorial Service at our Virtual Annual Conference. Traditionally, the memorial service is a carefully staged and formal worship service at which those Bishops, pastors, and other significant ministry leaders in the Annual conference who have died in the last year are remembered. One possible action is to contact legislators to let them know your opinion. Something New at mill plain
Something new took its place at Mill Plain United Methodist Church recently. We hung Reconciling Ministry banners on our bell tower. They include the Reconciling Ministry logo and the words, “You are welcome here.” You can see them driving east or west on Mill Plain Boulevard. Holy Week Services
Join us for these Holy Week Services, either in person or livestream (except for the Sunrise Service which is in person only) Good Friday services at 6:30 PM. The service will be organized around Meditations at the Cross. In another community, my husband and I attended the installation service for a pastor of a neighboring church. The church was of another denomination so I was interested to see how the service would go.
