This small study group will begin meeting Wednesday, September 14, 10 a.m. via Zoom. Meeting on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, we work our way through various study books, reading, questioning, discussing and encouraging one another in our faith journey. All are welcome to participate. Our first book is The Lord’s Prayer by Adam Hamilton and we will spend about six sessions exploring it. Prayer was an integral part of Jesus’ life. He taught his followers to pray. Scripture entreats us to pray. How many thousands of times have you said the Lord’s Prayer? Have you really thought about the words, the phrases, even the commas, the ‘ands’ and the ‘fors’ and how they add meaning to the phrases. Join us as Hamilton brings these words to life, ensuring we are not using meaningless repetition as the Gentiles did in Matthew 6. Join Melody Mello as we delve into the Lord’s Prayer and learn how it is not just a guide for praying, but a roadmap that Jesus gave us for our daily lives.
