Scholarships and Pies. Pie Day, the primary fund raiser for the scholarships, is May 21. The Rev. Ruth Mathis Scholarship applications are available by contacting the church office. Church members and regular attendees who are continuing their education post-high school are eligible to apply. Deadline for submission is May 21.

BABY SHOWER for Babies in Need
You’re invited to participate in a baby shower for Babies in Need on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th. Come join the Missions team for refreshments between the two church services! But what can a baby shower be without gifts? Babies in Need is a local organization that delivers layettes to local hospitals for new mothers who may be struggling financially. In March they gave 20 layettes to families with new babies and 5 more to families that had preemies! If…
Touch of Class recital
Touch of Class Chorale will be celebrating 50 years together as a group with a spring program at the church on Saturday, May 6th at 2pm. Half of the proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Reading Explorers. Tickets are $12 for adults and children (6-16 yrs) are $10. Tickets will be available at the door and from Wanda Scott. There are two additional concerts scheduled. Youth Spaghetti Dinner and Auction
Join us on Saturday, April 22nd at 5:00pm for a youth hosted spaghetti dinner followed by a silent auction. This will be our biggest fundraiser of the year! Dinner, Silent Auction, Dessert, Fun! Tickets are $8.00 per person with 5 years and younger being free. Nourishing Our Faith
Are you hungry and thirsty for a closer relationship with God? Nourishing our Faith is a small group that meets via Zoom on the second and fourth Wednesdays, to discuss a Christian study book. Maundy Thursday
Maundy Thursday Service will be 6:30 PM Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday. It is an observance of the day before Good Friday and takes place during Holy Week. It commemorates Jesus Christ’s last supper and the initiation of Holy Communion.
Lenten Book Study “The difficult Words of Jesus”
Join a congregational study of The Difficult Words of Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine. Pastor Sue will preach on four of the chapters during Lent, and we offer two sections of study classes in coordination with her sermons.
